NASCAR 2010-Gentlemen start your engines!!!
The winter has been long enough.I have waited too long to hear those famous 4 words,"GENTLEMEN START YOUR ENGINES!" Now it's finally here!!! Nascar 2010, the Budweiser shoot out at Daytona, that was won by Kevin Harvick#29. The Gatorade duel- race #1 was a Jimmie Johnson #48 win. Race # 2 was won by Kasey Kahne #9.
The 52nd running of the Daytona 500 saw #5 Mark Martin starting in the pole position, but in the end,it was won by a very emotional Jamie McMurray. The race had a record breaking 20 leader changes! The race was red flag stopped 2 times to repair pot holes in the track caused by recent record rain fall for the area. Kevin Harvick #29 had a decent day,so did Greg Biffle #16 .The racing was clean, even though Nascar has allowed bump drafting back in the races. The drivers seem happy to have the right to bump draft, its more exciting for fans to watch too.Nascar has decided that races will end under a green flag. So if there is a caution at the end, the race will get 3 chances to finish with a "green, white, checkered " finish. Dale Earnhardt Jr. #88 started in 2nd,but lost some ground through out the day. The second to last lap found Dale Jr. in 10th place, at the end of the race he had almost passed Jamie McMurray #1 for the win! He had to settle for a 2nd place finish. next week...the Auto Club 500 in Fontana California. I hope you all have a great week. Take to you soon.
Nascar-anything else is just a game.

it is really cool to be at the track watching the race for sure.I have heard it said more than a few times that Nascar is the largest spectator sport in North America. I'm a Canadian, and i watch every race.It is not as popular up here in Canada, but it is still pretty popular. My wife and I have been to Daytona in 2008, and the Shelby 427 race in Las Vegas last year. We hope to see more tracks and races in years to come. i don't follow any other type of sport other than motor sports. i worked at our drag strip here , i volunteered at the Vancouver molson Indy race too. motor sports are my only sports interests.
