New misfire problems
So I’ve had a problem with my truck recently and posted about it but here’s the codes I have thrown.
Cylinder 1 misfire
cylinder 2 misfire
bank 1 too lean
ignition coil a,b,c malfunction
misfire on startup and random misfire
this is all going on but the starting problem was with cylinder 2 which I changed COP and plug with no solution.
changed coil packs on all the issue cylinders, along with the plug and injector on cylinder 2.
yesterday I test drive the truck it seemed to to run almost normal for a few seconds at idle and then as I went uphill I was throttling on it and would only get about 15-20mph out of her with terrible clanking noise. I didn’t want to keep driving but also was not in a position where coming to a stop for a tow was possible.
The coil pack codes have gone away but I still have misfire codes along woth both bank 1 and 2 being too lean, guys I’ll take any help I can get at this point. I’m starting to hate this poor truck.

Between cylinder 1 & 2 misfires and the clanking noise it sounds like you're getting coolant into the cylinder, meaning a possible blown head gasket. When it runs do you get white steam out of the exhaust?
If you have a 97 or 98 with a 4.6 motor using coil packs instead of COPs, then you could be looking at one or both coil packs going bad, or a wire to them.
