Sudden Loss of Power While Driving

I have a 2002 F-250 with a 7.3 with 223,000 miles, automatic transmission, 4x4. Recently, the truck has started randomly losing power while going down the road, usually when I'm going about 45-50. It doesn't die, just kind of hiccups. I can take my foot off the pedal and come right back to it, and it's like nothing ever happened. Any ideas?

Check for loose engine harness connections and wire chafing where the engine harness rubs against the driver's side valve cover. Could be fuel issue, have you done the hutch mod on the fuel tank? Is it near or below 1/4 tank when it happens?

Is it at about the same throttle pedal area? Could be a bad spot in your pedal sensor. Updated pedal assembly AND mount needed for that(Riffraff), or cleaning of old one.
I have a friends truck I did a zf6 swap in recently, had a spot at 42-44% throttle input, drops power and bucks, goes away if you mash it or let off. I can see the input % on the edge monitor.

Do you notice any smoke out of the exhaust when it happens? Could be a low fuel pressure problem and that could be a number of culprits.

Ford 6.0

I’m having the same issue with my F250 Harley Davison 2004
I was right down the road and lost power prior to that I had to replace four injectors and ran and then lost power going down the road and I had somebody come out and tell me that the other for injectors we’re going out and I replace them for and it’s doing the same thing

Unless I'm mistaken the 2004 will have a 6.0 engine in it.

Probably will want to go to the 6.0 forum and start a new thread. Best of luck.

No problem. In case you haven't found it there is a drop down at the top of the page. Find the Diesel group then find the 6.0 forum. Good luck again
