increased seating capacity

Has anyone added a bench seat in the payload area of their
F150 ? I often find myself acting as cab-driver for my teenage son and all his buddies. I was thinking of bolting in a set of bench seats (with seat belts) in the back against the window of the cab - occupants would be looking/facing to the rear.

Any pics, pros, cons. against the law ?

I'd fabricate a 'roll bar' that spanned the box just ahead of
the wheel wells.

Or buy a bigger passenger truck ?

Get a Bronco, an SUV, or a minivan. The Isuzu Brat had seats like that, so if you're determined, get some that are weatherproof AND UV-stabilized or they'll be nasty in a week. If you look in ~1980 Datsun/Nissan king-cab pickups, you'll find some flip-up jump seats that can be easily bolted to any flat surface, and they were even offered in the back of Broncos. I have some and I can carry 7 seat-belted adults comfortably. You can see them in the 83 Bronco album in my sig link.
