IPR sensor?

Here's a theory. The truck is running fine in stock mode so far. I was thinking that the IPR may be bad but the tuner is making more power and more oil pressure to make the problems of the IPR visible, in stock mode, the oil pressure doesn't get high enough to cause the sensor to fail. Is this possible? It sucks driving the truck in stock mode with a suncoast tranny that shifts like hell with stock tuning.

Well just an update, I just changed the IPR with a brand new one about 2 and a half seconds ago and I can already tell the difference. The truck literally started on a half revolution of the crank. Before the engine would crank up to to 3 times before it fired. The idle is super smooth also. Now I can't tell if that fixed the dyeing issue but from the results I am pretty confident it did. Now i am going to drive around 300 miles one way for thanksgiving so my plan is to run stock there then on the way home program the engine to stage 2 to see what happens. Ill also be able to see how much better MPG i get. Wish me luck.

it wasn't too bad, the hardest part is getting the huge wrench and socket in between all the wires in there. There is plenty room but the wires get in the way. Also, the best engineers decided to put a HPX line across the valley right in the way of where the socket needs to slide over the valve. It's very doable and took me no more than 30 min but i warn you to put a huge comfortable blanket on top of the engine bay. Also, don't lose the little rubber plug gasket in the engine valley.
