6637 filter different application

as you guys know i bought a gmc 2500hd with a 8.1L thinking about doing the 6637 air filter on it how do you guys think the filter would be matched with a 496ci big block.

Should work great... It shouldn't need more air than a 7.3 putting out 20+ psi of boost

that's kinda what i was thinking all the guys on the Chevy forum are running k&n's but we all know that they don't filter as well. the intake tube looks to be 4 inch with the mass airflow right before the filter box, looks like if i took the stock box off i could clamp the 6637 right onto the mass airflow meter.

well doing some poking around on the wix website according to wix the stock filter for my truck part # 42487 flows 320 cfm wix part #46637 flows 425 cfm. so according to that it should be a nice upgrade. at almost 1/3 improvement in flow.
