Is there an easy fix to a squeaking steering column on my 2003 Super Duty? Seems like it's coming from just below the steering wheel, and is awfully annoying.

I have this same issue in my '03, especially in cold weather. Wish someone would post a fix.

 

As a matter of fact, my '02 has the same thing....when you turn the wheel, right?

 

either way I turn the wheel...but mostly it's more noticeable when it's cold. It actually sounds and feels like something has dried up inside the column, although I don't know where to look.

My 99 did it to. Seems to be a common problem.

 

mine did the same thing my brother is a mechanic and applied white grease somewhere under the colum and it stopped the squeak. His boss was jazzed has been trying to figure out how to stop it for years. its been about 4 months now and still no squeak thats the solution
