Difference between 2wd and 4wd XLT wheels

Are the 2wd and 4wd wheels different? I was told that the 4wd wheels were wider but I havent verified that. If they are I want to pick 2 up to have staggered sizes These are the wheels I am referring to btw

That is in no way cost effective to Ford....however, your answer is NO there is no difference whatsoever.....these wheels also came on Eddie Bauer trucks/Broncos as well.

Junior, Ford did some pretty stupid things back then - this is just for educational purposes really, but for instance, did you know that the wheels used on a 2wd dually truck are different from those that go on that same truck when it's equipped with the 4x4 package? They're both 16x6.5" wheels, however the 4x4-specific wheels have more offset to them so they can run 235-wide tires, whereas the 2wd trucks got the pathetic 215s... Why couldn't they give 235s to all dually trucks and be done with it I have no idea, but a few months back I was cursing them to the very depths of hell itself for this, as I had just bought a brand new set of real nice 235-wide A/T tires for my 2wd dually and when I loaded up my camper I realized the sidewalls touch - there went my boondocking weekend, along with many good things that may have come out of it... So yes, if them Alcoa wheels are indeed different between 2wd and 4x4 trucks I would not be surprised one bit!

I've got a set of 4wd Alcoas on my gasser and as far as I can visibly tell they have the same offset between mine and my buddy's 2wd Alcoas........the dually is understandable.....And I did not know that...thanks for the lesson.

The wheels are the same. The only difference is the front center caps.

That white truck looks awesome by the way.

Optional Styled Steel and Styled Aluminum wheels were introduced for F100/150's & E100/150's in 1977. Bronco's first offered the same wheels in 1978.

Yeah the 20s are still on this is my winter set-up. One of the XLT wheels is bent so I figured if the 4x4 wheels were wider I would get 2 for the back.

That's a 15x7.5" wheel, part #F4TZ-1007-A. The same wheels with rivets around the outer edge is FOTZ-1007-A. No different listing for 2/4WD.

That truck looks so much cleaner with either of the stock wheels.

There is a guy on you tube with a white extended cab that is pretty awesome. He has the factory aluminum wheels. I think the rear ones are wider. Maybe he had them widened.

Here it is. I guess the rear wheels are not wider. It still looks bad *** though.

I think those wheels only look wider because he has wider tires on the back. Ive seen that video before. Its a good looking and sounding truck.

I think my truck looks clean with the 20s. They are a pretty plain wheel and not over done but to each his own.

Here is yet another set of rims lol. 17" Centerlines

LOL yes I do. Well I had the gray steel rims with hub caps originally than bought the 17s. Than I got the chrome steel F150 rims off my dads Flareside and used them for winter. Sold the 17s and bought the 20s. Got a smashed extended cab for parts and it had the XLT wheels but one has a flat spot. It is only cosmetic but was hoping the 4wd wheels were wider so I could buy 2 and have wider ones out back for winter. Ive also had a set of Racelines on it as well.

I thought about painting the center cap before. It looks pretty cool. I tried running no center cap too but didnt like it much.
