Just bought my 1995 long bed from a guy I work with and it has 171,000 on the 2.3.He just had the trans rebuilt for $1500 and I got it for $850.Other than the trans it has just had basic maintenance done to it.Other than the interior being filthy and an exhaust leak at the flange it runs strong and is in good shape.I know I didnt get hurt for $850.No ***** at all though I gotta add, lol!

1993 STX ext cab 2wd 4.0L 5 speed manual. 332,000 miles. Great truck. Only drivetrain repair is the transmission output bushing & tail shaft. Hydraulic clutch could use a rebuild, but still a great truck. Only real problem we may see in the future is body rot from Michigan Salted roads.

Talking Check out This Mileage

I have a 1993 Ford Ranger 2.3L Standard Transmission truck. It has 275,000 miles and is all original! We are just now having to replace the ORIGINAL clutch! It is still in great shape. Anyone got mileage higher than that!

There is no way that engine will last that far without replacing anything....how about water pump and timing belt? Are you saying 13 years with that mileage without replacing ones? I had my water pump and timing belt done @ 150,000, and now I am @ 165k plus on 94, 2.3 5 sp

171,000 motor runs fantastic nice and quite no noise at all doesnt burn any oil. 2.9 6 cyl is a tough little motor, a tad bit under powered though imho.

Great truck, injectors started tickin lately but still runs alright, ill look into it over the summer.

Red face 70k on my 87.

My Ranger was laid to rest in a field for ten years, thus the low mileage. I just love this truck. V6, 5 speed, new paint, custom wheels.
