48-52 F1 door latch install pics anyone??
I searched till my eyes xrossed but didn't find any with the latch in the rear door post, not the door.
Using bear claws and want to put the latch in the rear door post and the striker in the door on my 52 F1,
just seems more logical than stuffing it all inside the door.
Besides it also seems there would be more room to use latches w/attached pulls.
How did it work out for you, any issues to consider before I attempt it on mine? Any safety issue to consider I'm not seeing??

The only issue from a safety standpoint I can see would be if you needed to get out in a hurry, you, or your passengers especially, would need to remember where the inside latch release would be, and that won't be on the door where one would instinctively look for one. It would be basically behind the seat in the corner. Kind of an awkward area to get to when seated, imho. And you definitely want it to be of a mechanical nature. Don't rely strictly on electrics. You might find yourself trapped inside, having to crawl out a door window, in the event of an electrical problem like a loose or dirty cable connection. And if you're one of the larger kids in the class, like me, that could be a trick.

That did concern me too but after a few minutes I came up with this. My seats are Mustang buckets
and there will be a console (w/shifter) between them that will run from under the dash to the cab rear wall.
Going to install the small flush oval door handles on each side of the console. They'll connect with cables
inside the console routed down to the floor then behind the seats over to the door post and up to the latches.
