1972 body on 1981 frame

<!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->
I have a 1972 f-250 thats a 2wd and I found an 81 f-150 thats a 4wd for a descent price and I'm curious to know if the body would line up with the newer 4wd frame?

It is not bolt hole exchange but some minor modding should make it work.

Might be a good winter project.

80-81's had the Swiss Cheese frames with lightening holes all through them. I wouldn't use that as a basis for a good truck. Farmers with toolboxes and fueltanks in the bed were bending the frames.
