Oil filter connecting lines

I bought a '53 F100 with no Oil filter. Now I bought a housing and installed it, but where do I run the outlet line to my 8BA flathead engine? Also
should the connecting lines be steel or is copper okay, or even a high pressure flexible rubber tube? thanks

If you are talking about where to run the return line, then there is a small plug below the drivers side exhaust manifold. Also you can run whatever line you would like. The originals were steel, but Ford only did this in case of a fire the lines would not melt. I personally would stick to some sort of metal lines.

Welcome to FTE.

heres a picture but cant really see the bottom drain line, it just curves around at or near the rear of the exhaust manifold and goes to the threaded plug just above the pan rail.

Cheers

You can use brake line, I made some for a fellow with it, but check in the fitting that goes into the filter cannister. It needs a restrictor, which is around .058". This is a MUST, without the restrictor, you will have very little oil pressure.
