help decode

need a little help on decode the decode on line does not match my 2 vins

1980 vin F14EUGJ2112 door axle code H2 trans code F

1982 vin 1FTCF10E3CLA24230 door axle code 015 trans code B or 8 not sure

any help Thanks

Plug your 1982+ VIN into Ford's decoder; it's not perfect but, without a 1982 factory service
manual, is prolly the best you're gonna find IMHO:

For your 1980, the best I know is the factory shop manual (somebody out here may be able
to help you with that). This is because the entire US automotive industry went to
standardized, 17-character VINs I believe in 1981; prior to that, each manufacturer had their
own VIN format.

Assuming the Ford online thing doesn't match what you have for your 1982, describe the
differences you see and maybe people here can help figure it out.

yeah i tried that site what i really need is the axle code for both from the door tag
015 is not valid on the 82 yet that is what the tag says oh well i will just count teeth on both thanks

I don't recall ever seeing any 3-digit axle codes before?
Or, am I confused?

i think the H2 on the 1980 is a 3.50 , and i can't find any three digit code either and the 1982 is a F100 most decoders only show 150s

thanks anyway i am done for tonight
