4.6 DOHC wiring

I have a 4.6 DOHC engine and trans out of a 95 Lincoln Mark VIII that I am going to put in my 63 F100. I took the complete wiring harness out of Lincoln, laid it out on my patio and started dissecting it. I have it down to just the wiring that runs the engine and trans, thank goodness for a great service and electrical manual.
My questions for now are, what else can I get rid of in the engine harness and what do I need to keep to make it run properly, i.e., the wires that go into the message center that run the idiot lights for the oil level, oil pressure, engine temp, etc?
I have Dakota Digital gauges in the truck, so I can't use the factory senders, but do I need the oil pressure hooked to the PCM to make it work right?
I am running after market fans so I don't need that hooked up.
I plan to use the factory fuel pump so I know that I will need the Variable Control Relay Module.
I plan to run the O2 sensors and cats on the truck.
I understand that I will need the VSS hooked to the PCM as well as the gauges.
I know that The Detail Zone makes a very nice wiring harness for this application. It's not about the money for the kit, it is more about me wanting to figure this out and make it work so that I can have the knowlege and understanding about how it all works.
The truck has a Camaro subframe under it. Is the 4.6 power steering pump compatible with that steering box? What kind of pressure does the 4.6 pump produce? That's probably in my service manual.
Thanks for any help.

Don't know the answer to all your questions but you can delete the egr, pcv, and evap systems along with the rear O2s. By deleting the rear O2s you wouldn't have to run cats. A tuner can take care of this with a programmer.

I planned on leaving the O2 sensors and running small free flowing cats on it just to keep most of the emissions working on it. I read someplace not to leave off the EGR valve as the engine tends to have pinging problems without it.
My biggest concern is what factory engine sensors need to be left in place to make the PCM work properly.
Any more ideas???????????

I don't have any ideas but I am doing the same thing in a 1970 F100. I am using the gauges, cruise, steering column with all the controls, fuse blocks, and abs. I am using the factory ac from the F100 to keep it looking original. I will be watching this tread because I need all the help I can get.

I just started researching this as I'm putting a crown vic crossmemeber in my 69. There is a ton of info on the mustang web sites like modular ford forums.
