Rotors for 2005 Screw

I replaced the pads (all around) on my 2005 Screw FX4. Had the front rotors turned as they had some grooves. Now, about 8000 miles later, the rotors are warped and have some minor grooves again. I want to replace the rotors with some slotted-types (leaning towards the EBC's). Do you think I need to replace the pads again? They are showing minimal wear, but bc of the grooves on the rotor, I'm not sure if the old pads would tear up the new rotors while they flatten out. The pads are EBC ceramics.

Well I would not reuse the pads as they will not make good contact on the rotor and could groove it again. The stock rotors for these trucks are disposable and should not be turned as you have found out. The rotors are way to thin to start with and turning them just builds up heat faster.

x2 on not reusing the pads you have. Sorry for that unfortunate luck.

Look into Powerslot rotors. Some of the guys here have them and love them. If you really want to go at it large, then look for a cyro treated rotor. They're super hard and last a while, but their massively expensive.
The Excursion guys run cyro's because of the truck's weight, but you're likely to be ok on just regular Powerslots.

I have the EBC rotors on my Jeep. They have worked pretty good for three years. the only thing I didn't like about them it they make a weird noise (hard to describe) kinda like a whirling noise when you stop.

I'm probably going to toss a set of our rotors and pads on there when I do my hubs.

your ceramic pads are going to tear up rotors faster... I went with NAPA rotors ($85 ea) and their top end pads. They still leave dust though...
