So the fuel pump module on my truck is falling apart, and i figured i might as well replace it now before im stranded and i found them on rockauto for 64.00 to my door the parts store wants 100.00 has anyone else bought one from rockauto? I cant see how thet can be so much cheaper . thanks for for help

 

I bought the one from Rockauto and have had no problems. It came with spacer hardware and seemed to be better protected from the elements than the OEM unit.

 

I have bought several items from Rockauto and have never had any trouble. The reason it is so much cheaper is they don't have the overhead of the local parts stores. If you look around it's not too hard to find a 5% off coupon

Thats what I used. Its made by doorman. Its been almost 2 years and no problems at all so far.

 

I buy from Rock Auto a lot and have never had a problem with them. They are one of the least expensive suppliers for Motorcraft parts. I needed a wheel speed sensor for the wife's car and Rock Auto was considerable less $ than the parts stores in my area as well as Ford.

 

Just bought a MCRT DG508 COP, for $41.99 from RA, dealer wanted $78.00 plus tax.

 

I was stranded and amazon has them for 55. O'Reilly wanted 104! Autozone wanted 103! For whatever reason the guy at autozone price matched it for mw thankfully

 

I needed one desperately the other day and got "Advanced Auto Parts" to drop the price to $59.99 for OE Motorcraft DG508 COP. I since ordered an extra one from "Rock Auto", as I said previously for $41.99. The best price around!

 

Question why are you keeping an extra? Not really my business I guess but seeing its an updated design just seems a lil silly to keep something you dont need for another 10 years if it does indeed fail, each his own I guess haha

 

So I can easily replace the next one that fails without hunting it down, and for that low price, I can't beat the savings. They'll probably be even more in the future with the rising cost of everything these days. If I keep it in the truck, I can replace it on the road if need be and save a costly towing charge. I've heard others on this site do the same thing. That's piece of mind and cheap insurance. It will save money and time in the long run!
