Trying to ID a carb on a '75 F-100 300cu engine

I recently purchased this truck and just looking at the carb, I'm sure it could use a rebuild and deep cleaning. It has a 'flat spot' when you start to pull away from a dead stop, sometimes it will stall, but as long as the engine has warmed up for a couple of minutes, just a slow steady push on the gas pedal and it's OK. Thinking the accelerator pump might be bad or going bad? I'm trying to ID the carb so I can get the correct rebuild kit. On the passenger side of the carb it says 'Made in USA Carter Warner for Motorcraft. Other than that, I can't see a model number on the carb. Is this a YF or YFA type carb? Any help is appreciated.

Hi! Could you possibly post a couple pictures of the carb? I'm sure someone here can tell you what is supposed to be on that motor for that year, but if it's not original - pictures would help a lot!

I will get some pics - it's on the engine now because I'm driving it daily & I don't want to take it off to take pics and bugger up the gasket.

Check this site out:

Carter YF & YFA Technical

There's also a video on there how to identify your carb. You shouldn't have to physically remove it to ID it.

That was exactly what I was looking for! I have a YFA carb. I'm going to get he numbers off the tag and the carb. itself and order a kit from Mikes Carburetor parts today.

Thank you a ton for this information! Great site here!!

I rebuilt the carb last weekend and found that the ball bearing stop for the output of the accelerator pump wasn't in there! I soaked it for a couple of hours in parts cleaner, put the new pump in along with the ball stop and now it runs great! NO hesitation at all! Glad that's fixed.
