I would go for it we have pulled many heavier loads with our 02 F250 4x4 V10 with 3.73s and crew cab. Never had a problem pulling it. Most say the V10 will scream going threw hills we had gone through hills with a 16K load no problems stayed at about 40 mph and tach said 3K most of the way. Don't expect great gas mileage and let her rev and you will be fine.
