Pulled the cab.. ARP Head Studs and Black Onyx Head Gaskets 500 pictures!!!

First off I would like ot thank Pete at Greenwood Contracting. Pete was kind enough to help me do this job in addition to dealing with me being **** the whole time....

We cleaned everything, painted everything including the frame.. POR15'd any rusty spots prior to paint! Painted my turbo pipes and everything went great. We took the heads, rocker boxes, and manifolds to XLR8 Machine shop and Steve Stack did a KILLER job on my heads!! He bead blasted the manifolds and made everything SUPER nice! I also want to thank Adam at FCDP for the hookup on the parts!!

Pete and I rebuilt the oil cooler when we did the EGR delete less than 6 months ago so we didnt do it again.

As you can see from my pictures, NO EXPENSE WAS SPARED!!!!! I purchased everyhting I could new rom Ford (right from the dealer) and / or aftermarket if something was available..

Please see the 500 pictures. I think they are self explanitory! I am open to any feedback or questions anyone may have!! The truck is SWEET and I plan to keep it forever. Its been 3 years and its been good to me. Once its paid off im planning on a turbo and injector upgrade..

bye bye head bolts!!!

thank you to Steve Stack at XLR8

great pic. nice to see it all worked out. only thing I see is that is a negitive is the non oem air filter. the oem unit is by far the best unit on the market.

hey cheezit, I have mine deleted completely, cooler and all in an 03 truck, if I just put a dummy valve in there do you think it will be enough to have the computer run the fan?

Whats the correlation between the fan and the egr valve, thought the fan was commanded to come on based on multiple sensors and reading

I deleted my EGR in my 03. According to AE it did not mess with the fan.

Save the link to favorites...definitely comes in handy when you need a broken down picture of the engine. Thanks man.

But I too have wondered about the whole EGR delete thing. What exactly is a dummy valve? I did a complete EGR delete except my valve is still there? What does that mean? Don't mean to hijack...just figured this might be some of the same info others need also.

Great job. What kind of prep was needed for the POR-15.
