You do realize that most everyone who posts on this thread is driving a 29-36 year old rolling pile of misery right?

Did a lot of cursing and head scratching while putting in a water temp gauge only to it to be missing something and not seal. Good think I kept the old one. Thinking about putting new shocks in the rear and new thermo tomorrow.

Some of us drive the old trucks and a new truck. And in my case, the latter came with an auto-opening tailgate. Just push a button on the key fob. But, get the right one or you'll start the engine.

Got the accessories off the motor. Scraped off most of the caked on oil and mud. Degreased it pretty good and got it set up on the engine stand for teardown.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend all!

Installed the wiring harness thru the dash for my power window setup. All I had to do was remove the dash pad and remove the four screws holding the defrost vents to the firewall. I then snaked the harness behind the vents and down the sides by the doors. Now gotta drill the holes for the door harnesses, plug them in, and hook up power to the harness.

Yesterday I replaced my worn through midship tank.
I discovered the rheostat circuit board was worn through in several places.

Not so much to my truck, but with it yesterday. Got a load of stuff from Newport News that needed to be moved over here.

Adjusted my timing after figuring out the hold down clamp was a bit loose, noticed it was sounding funny under load. Easy fix. Also tightened my power steering and water pump belt, putting the kibash on a little chirp now and then. And finally, i gave her a nice hand wash. She looks pretty good.

They are, two camshafts and 16 valves, rockers and springs. Plugs are under the center covers on each head.

A torpedo heater. They sound like a jet engine.
