That's worth the money. My paint/body man is charging me more than that for the bed repair, and that doesn't inc the tailgate and bumper.

The other day when I bought my door beltline weather stripping, I didn't consider the passenger side to be trashed too.

Well, it was. Yesterday I went back to NPD (Luckily they're down the street from work) and ordered the passenger side. I installed that today, in about 7 minutes. I guess I've become a pro at taking the vent window and door glass out of these trucks. Oh, and I didn't break my slide locks either.

That's quick! But now you have to do it again to install the regulators.

Only the driver's side regulator seems to be bad. But I'll replace the passenger side too since I'm having issues with the lock not locking properly and need to fix that anyway.

I can highly recommend the lube I used on those locks. If the lube itself stays as well as the smell does then they'll work forever.

quite a weekend

Well, I have been slowly working on my 84 250, which sat for a few years. Not really rushing. Friday I found out I needed a truckload of gear in Brooklyn Monday morning. I had family in Saturday and Sunday, and my kid plays hockey Saturday morning. Friday night I got the cowl and the wipers back on. Saturday evening I got new tires. That was the first trip out of my drive way for the truck. Sunday I loaded it, replaced the plug wires, fueled up, and cleaned the glass. I made it just fine this morning, although it idles high. I need to replace all of the window and door rubber soon, and find out why my interior electrical system is a mess, but it was a nice feeling to actually drive it.

If I had a Bullnose, I would be all over that!

I hang out here with my Bricknose truck because it is carbureted and under the skin is more like these trucks than '87-'96's.

Thanks though!
What are you using to search, now that 'Crazedlist' is banished?

I've got a couple I brought up from VA and NC. Then there is this:
Southern Rust Free Pick Up Truck (boxes) Beds

I thought there was another. Have to do some more browsing. After I finish changing tires on the 86.

First to comment on the CCW portion earlier: GLOCK GLOCK GLOCK..

Now on to what I did to my truck today..

Besides wanting to shoot it, I did manage to get the steering gear installed. I spent 3 hours yesterday trying to get the pitman arm off. It would have helped if I had a decent puller instead of the HF one.

I got the gear off yesterday, but had a heck of time trying to lift it into position and get it to mate up with the steering shaft. After about 50 attempts, I finally gave up..

I went to take another look this afternoon and after taking a hard look at the rag joint, decided it was trashed also. I ordered a borgeson replacement and it will be here on Wednesday. That shaft is telescopic, so I can install it with the gear in place.

With that in mind, I installed the gear today and pulled off the old shaft. I STILL need to get the pitman arm off the old gear, so I'll be getting a better tool in the morning and go after it.

My plan for my weekend (Tues / Wed) is to get the truck done and then replace the lower control arms on the Pacifica. That's the plan..

I also need to order some more nifty cool orange Edd China gloves; I'm finally running low..

Glock -IF- you get rid of that heavy trigger.
I have no problem with two stage and I have no problem with limp wristing the darn thing either, but I cannot abide the NY trigger that came on the 23.

KS,
You need to put pressure on with the puller and then SMACK the exposed side of the pitman arm collar with a bfh.
It will pop right off.

Bill, I had a 1991A1 that didnt like to feed HP's either. I had the feed ramp polished and it helped a bunch.

You will shoot yourself with a Glock.

I did a bunch of stuff to my daughters car with James the other day. Timing belt, water pump, tensioner, rollers, serpentine belts. tune up and replaced the VC gaskets. It leaked 1 -1/2 qts of oil in 5000 miles. That took forever! What a nightmare take down job.

I've always been a revolver guy myself... As far as what I did to my truck, I put the new belt on and washed the truck. That 36" belt is just long enough, now it's on the far short side of the adjustment. Had to push it all the way to the short side, stretch it on and then tighten it up. I'm sure it'll stretch quite a fair amount, so I have lots of adjustment left. Turns out my old belt was speced for a 460, as it's 1/2" longer than a 351 belt. But, always worked fine when it was stock. So, from the true stock belt which is 37" I am now using a 36" belt.
