I used SEM paint I ordered from Late Model Restoration as they had the Opal Gray color I needed for the 1996 interior color.

my newer DD is in the bodyshop for 2 weeks, got in a tangle with a deer.

Been DD-ing the truck 90 miles a day. Been getting 17-18 mpg if you would believe that in its hacked together state, still has the computer controlled ignition. but the carb is apparently older and not connected to the computer.

Is the dash pad Vinyl or a flexible plastic? The SEM directions KsCop supplied are great. In one of the photos under directions for prepping flexible plastic is a dash pad.

The Dashes Direct pad is vinyl like the original. Very simple to paint vinyl with SEM;

Clean with SEM Soap, Rinse, wipe down with vinyl prep and paint. Seemed to work well on my visors. I left the dash black

All I managed to get done today was the upper windshield trim install that helps hold the headliner in. Not much, but it was one more step.

After court tomorrow, I hope to get the floor cut to fit and installed. Then I'm on the home stretch. We'll see how that turns out; sleep may win..

Great link - thanks for posting that. BTW - the black dash looks great with that combo of colors.

Yeah, I think it looks cool too.

Today I did nothing on my trucks because I was servicing tractors all day getting ready for farming in the spring. Fun Fun...

Well my plan is to start getting the vinyl floor in the truck.

Of course, when I got home from court, the dog had peed on the carpet (again). Since the plan is to replace the carpet with loose-lay vinyl plank flooring, and I have the flooring, I got mad and pulled the carpet (a section at least).

So now I have to balance working on the truck and getting the dining room floor done.

Now that's Fun Fun Fun..

Did I mention I need to do this with 4 chihuahua's, a greyhound and a great dane running around?

Today I put new rear tires on, adjusted the brakes, topped off the radiator fluid (it's leaking from the thermostat), and washed it.

You could just strap the Chihuahuas to the Dane's back!
