It will be for a good friends son.
His favorite color is red and his super hero is spiderman.
Have the decals ordered.
That is cool.
The rear part custom hand made or a kit?

Luckily this car has a drain bolt on the fuel tank so I already drained that, it came out orange but very clean. Also came with the original set of wheels.

Car is pretty much fully loaded with options. When I took the oil cap off it looked spotless inside.
Nice and clean looking! What year is that? Glass window (NB) on the soft top? I run a '97 (1.8) and just did a basic 1/4 million mile (all mine) refresh on it. Still runs like it was new.

I bought a used adult trike and cut the rear tabs off of the trike and the mongoose. I welded the trike tabs to the bike and mounted the trike assembly.
I had to order 20 inch trike rims to match the front wheel.
I eliminated the 6 speed and rear hand brake.
It is now a single speed with front hand brake and kick the pedals back for rear brake.
His son can not shift gears or balance a two wheeler. As he grows, i can transfer the assembly to another bike.

Matthew, that's a really clean Miata!
If it were a basketcase I could see a 5.0 swap in your future, but that car is just TOO nice.

I got my spring shackle/hanger swapped out this weekend.
Not having tall enough jackstands made me nervous.
Class IV hitch made it a pita.
Snapping 1/2" grade bolts like candy canes trying to pull the bushing into the spring meant i got a few skinned knuckles and smacked myself in the face with a 24" ratchet and impact socket.

But it's done...

Jim - Congrats! Sounds like it was WORK! (Quoting Maynard G Krebs.)

All - Miatas are waaaay cool. Loved mine, and probably would still have it but for it having given its life to save my daughter's.

Kyle - Well done! He's gonna love it!

Put my J/Y armrests on, replaced the various 2" sheetrock screws the P.O. were using with proper trim trees to hold the door panels on, lubed up all the driver side door linkage (did the PAX side last year), put the cluster bezel on, put a LED dome light in and drove to Panda Express to get some dinner.

What a huge difference having more than a piece of metal for an armrest makes! Between that, finally having both door panels on, calling the nice clean and well-lit gauge cluster 'done' and having a dome light for the first time since I bought it ~9 years ago, I'm starting to like driving this thing!

By the light of the dome... by the brightly lit dome...

Looks nice
Only thing I am not digging is that 2 feel of rubber fuel line across the top of the motor

IIRC in drag racing you cant have more than 2 feet TOTAL of rubber fuel line.

Yeah, a leak there can be a really bad thing.

Makes you wanna cry, I'm planning to add some stainless steel braided hoses pretty soon. I check my truck daily for leaks.

What organization was that? I've done plenty of drag racing myself and don't remember even any mention of fuel lines:
