It still has the plastic coating on it, it is polished aluminum just so it looks good. The old battery bracket was bad so I spent a few bucks more for the box and it will look better, at least to me. I will pull the plastic off after I am done in the engine compartment.

Yeah, i know, but I can barely get a text to go through up here in VT.

Yesterday I put my new slider in, recovered my seat and installed new armrests.

Then I plumbed my friends new compressor and worked on his motorcycle. (new MC, stainless brake lines and assembled the top end of the engine)

Ok, we will let you off the pic-hook.

But it looks like you've been busy.

I have done a lot of things to my Bullnose. This one was just pure fun. “I’m the hootinst, tootinist, shootinist bobtail wildcat in the west!”

Did an oil change this morning to get any crud out of the engine after the head swap, also just in case those old squeaky rockers put any metal into my engine.

I had all kind of things I wanted to do now that it is cooler but got stuck working. A bunch of little things went wrong and did not get home early enough to do anything today.

Maybe tomorrow but 1 day off and yard work needed it's not looking good

I decided to go ahead and change both calipers, rubber lines. brake pads and rotors. I now have good working brakes. I will now move on to the steering. I need a center/drag link. While I had it up on jack stands I looked over every part of the frontend. The only part with any play is the drag link. I'm having a hard time finding the correct part. I want Moog parts for this truck. I called the local Oreillies and had absolutely no luck. Is this part called something besides a drag link or center link? I think I may have found the correct part online but I'm not sure.
I called the not so local chrome shop about stripping the wheels. They said $20.00 per wheel. I'll take them in next time I get to the city for material. With the wheels off my mind I can move on to the next stage.

Good brakes is always nice to have

On the drag/center link you might not be able to find a Moog part and if you do how do you know it is not a Chinese part?
I would be happy just to be able to buy the part even if I have to change it out every few years.

Good luck on the hunt
