When I pulled mine I found that when I drilled a small hole in the side of each bushing and pushed a grease zerk in that worked excellent for greasing them but they still sounded like a bird chirping. Even if something else winds up being the noise at least it made the ride a lot smoother. But, it was a lot quieter than usual so that makes me wonder if 2 things were making the same noise.
Where exactly did you drill for the zerk fitting?
Im contemplating doing it after work but not sure where it was drilled.
worked my truck hard today pulling 1500lbs of trailer, mower and what ever else that was in the bed. i mow for a living and i have to say i only wish the a/c worked because it was 93 today.

Nice truck! what kind of push mower is that in the bed? I notice it looks like it has some sort of vertical pull starter on it. I mow with one of those every week, and have for about the last 13 years of my life. Don't see many of them left anymore.

a 1974 lawn boy 7263 i overhauled the engine two years ago.
One thing I'm concerned about is rubbing on the radius arms. I know my old 31x10.5's with 15x8 wheels rubbed on the radius arms, and even though the new wheels are 15x10 and the tires are 33x12.5, I think that I'll be running into the same issues with the radius arms.
No idea on the offset, the old wheels were the sawblade style 92-96 wheels.
I'm pretty much just going to expect for it to rub at full lock. It shouldn't affect drivability that much, since this same style of wheel has been run on thousands of these trucks.
Tomorrow I am going to have my 33x12.50x15 tires swapped onto some Procomp 15x10 rims with 3.75" backspace. I'll let you guys know how they work out. The PO put these tires on the stock rims and they rub well before the steering wheel gets to the stop.

Last night I changed out the motor mounts. The driver's side tore in half while pulling an old car out to pasture. It had a pin that's supposed to prevent separation when the rubber fails, but it broke that too.
