So I bought an '03 Harley here recently and wanted to mod. Plan: Diablo tuner and pulley(s) I can order the tuner from Summit but who do I order the pulleys from? Do I change the lower only? What is the expected horsepower? thanx in advance.....all help and critisism is welcomed!

It's just my opinion, but I would only order your choice of tuning platform from a respected Lightning/HD tuner specialist.

As for your pulley, you can get that from any respected Lightning/HD performance internet speed shop like Lightning Force Performance, Woodbine Motorsports, JLP, Lethal Performance, etc.

YES, only change the lower pulley, an 8.75 inch crank pulley with an oil seperator, ported eaton, ported TB, rock solid tune, (and MAF if needed), correct heat range spark plugs and a valve body will yield years of happy motoring

Basic PP&T wakes it right up. (Pulley, Plugs and Tune)

6 lb lower pulley (I have a Metco)
NGK TR6 plugs
Diablo Predator tuner comes with a canned 6lb pulley/93 octane tune.
Even Better...get it dyno'ed and purchase the tuner your dyno guy likes!

L & S Oil Seperator
Clean your Intercooler (very good to do!...do it when changing plugs)
STEPS: Pull the IC, clean IC w/brake cleaner, change plugs, install IC.

ENJOY!!!

Yeah,,try this and you'll be putting a new motor in it.

Accel coils are a wast of money! The stock COPs are just fine and probably better.
You cant run an 8# lower pulley without an upgraded MAF!

Probably?

Phil is being nice. Accel COP's are junk for our supercharged applications, especially for those pushing more horsepower than the OEM setup.

OEM COP's are much better.

The only upgrade to coils I would consider are Weapon X coils.

newbie questions

Because of the MAF upgrade I will have to wait a bit longer to upgrade...wish money did grow on trees! I'd hate to buy a 4# pulley just to upgrade everything again later and throw money away...so for now I'm gonna have to take it a step at a time. Could I run the predator tune without a pulley upgrade....I wanna buy what I need as money comes along. Can I run an 8# pulley without having to remove it for daily driving. I want something that can stay on at all times. Thanks in advance!

you can run an 8# pulley as it will be the same as a 5-6#er on a Lightning...

I would suggest getting the programmer last. It will need to be tuned for the 8# pulley.
So like buy your pulley, buy your MAF and then buy your tuner with a good tune for thous mods.
Then put it all in the truck at the same time!

Now if you can get the turner now with a tune without the mods and a tune for the mods.( 2 different tunes ) You can just change tunes when you add the MAF and the pulley.
