Storage platform in back seat

We have an 08 F-250 Lariat. The truck is new to us. It has a platform that folds out in the back seat to make a level area to place items. Things seem to slide easily on this platform. We were wondering what others have done to minimize this sliding or to hold things in place on this platform.

You can buy friction mats at Walmart, or any RV place. They are not that expensive and work great. I am holding my laptop on top of the cooler on my seat and with this mat it never slide out even on hard braking. Without the mat it is gone on first turn.

One of the first things that I did after I bought my 05 was to remove the storage tray!
There is alot of underseat storage space with it gone!

Mine is for collecting dust in my attic. I took it out the day I got the truck. I would think it is a totally useless piece of crap for 99% of the SD owners. I installed a Du-Ha storage bin as soon as they were available. If Ford would offer this bin as an option I bet it would be a big seller.

Thats a great idea.
Last year someone pulled infront of me and my laptop got smashed with nothing to keep it from sliding.

take the rack out and have it bed-lined? some of the spray ins are tackier than others. if you are flexible with the installer, they will shoot anything. i have the toe caps of my work boots sprayed.

I just simply lay down a bath towel on top of the platform. It keeps most things from sliding around.
