While driving I come across several 2008-10 models. I was wondering an easy way to tell from looking at the tailgate forward how to tell the difference between a 2008-10 from a 2011. I can't see any difference.
Now the sides I look for the F250 logo or the Circle on the door.
Front is obvious along with the hood.
From the 2003-2007 to the 2008-10, just look at the mirrors.
I can't think of anything from directly behind. From the rear and slightly to the side you could spot a different sheet metal shape around the rear wheel wells, fronts too. The step bars could be a giveaway too, and the big fuel door.
The only thing I can think off "might be" that there are more wires and hoses from DEF tank and the rear end locker. That might be next to impossible though to see.
I like the post from above, look to see if the cab is sorta bright from a big toothy grin.
Wow, So basically the same. I noticed that. I was hoping maybe the Bumper with the chrome/plastic be a different design. I don't have a 2010 to compare to.
The only thing I can think of that might give you a idea would be the 2 1/2" receiver hitch. Not fool proof as not all came set up that way, but mine did.
Other than that the white tooth grin seems to be your best consensus

Yeah, the early build trucks didn't come with it, neither do the 6.2L gassers.
Mine has a 2" receiver and I LOVE IT! No adapters for me!
