I tried to research this in the old posts and got close, but the pictures were no longer there due to age or whatever. I finally got around to getting a speedometer cable for my F1. The original one obviously broke a LONG time ago (at 91777 miles) and the original owner unhooked it from the gauge and tied it off on the frame. I got one from DC and thought this was gonna be a quick job. Everything looks good on the transmission end. The piece of the old one came right out of the top of the gear. I'm so glad he left that end attached to keep it from rusting. But one stupid question. Can anybody show me a picture or describe which exact hole this thing is supposed to go through in the firewall? My money is on the big hole at the top of the passenger floorboard near the firewall cover, but I'm not sure.

Thanks Ross. My guess was right. I searched that 2 or 3 different ways and never did see that thread. I'm like the others, the size of that hole made me doubt if that was it.
