Tailights without the chrome on 2010s

Is the Raptor the only model with OEM tailights without the chrome outline?

Are there aftermarket lights for the 2010s that look like OEM ones but without the chrome? I'm not a fan of the chrome outline.

The Harley Davidson model also has no chrome trim. The chrome parts are blacked-out.

Will either of those plug right into my 2010 STX? Any idea on how much they are at the Ford Parts Department?

It depends, if you have a flareside STX, then they won't work. If you have a styleside (regular bed) STX then they will. They go for about $165 on Ebay, I don't know what Ford charges.

Well, actually, you must not have a flareside. My neighbor has a 2009 STX flareside, and his taillights have no chrome. I'm not even sure the flaresides were still offered in 2010.

I have a regular styleside in Tuxedo Black. The grill, bumpers and door handles are all black. I don't know why Ford put those chrome ones.

I just saw one on ebay for $205 and another on partstrain for $343. They look like the same item.

Thanks.

no more flaresides for 2010.

besides the Harley/Raptor, the 2010 FX2 tails don't have chrome, they are painted sterling grey.

I've also seen an aftermarket all-red tailight set with LEDs that looks pretty good.

It's for 04-07 only.

EDIT: My bad. I just saw the post on the other forum for 09-10.

Looking at pictures online, the Harley Davidson ones still have a plastic look and an outline. I think I'll go for the aftermarket LED ones, like the Sabersport ones on Ebay. They look like normal tailights without the Fast-and-the-Furious look.

Or you could just buy a can of lens tint and some masking tape and take care of those stupid chrome tails. Check out my picture gallery. There is a rear pic in there of my tail lights.

Bah! Can't decide. The Harley ones are about $150 shipped. I guess I'll try those first. I prefer OEM over aftermarket.

What did you end up doing? I also am not a big fan of the chrome on my 2010 Lariat taillights and think black on the taillight edges would look sharper since the truck is tux black.

It's so much less gawdy. I hate all that chrome on the stock ones. Not a bad mod for $150. I got them from Tasca. It took all of 10 minutes to install.

I'm not a fan of Euro-crap aftermarket lights either. Some of them look like the stuff the import compact car crowd put on their cars.
