sounds like most everyone has a preference but here in east tenn mine are hardly ever used. i have treated my windshield with a product called Aquapel it allows any moisture to just roll right off the glass and compared to rain-x that's lasts maybe 30 days or less this product will last for up to a year and applies and buffs off very nice

BTW...take note - trico bought PPG who manufactures aquapel (as well as most of our windshields) so now trico owns aquapel and has changed the name to "trico view". FYI

I also use aquapel and it was just tested big-time last night here in Wisconsin. We had a steady rain all night and my passenger asked me "what do you put on your windshield to make it do that...?" Its funny to see your post first thing this morning - ironic!! LOL Anyway, my vehicles are garage kept so my applications actually last longer than the stated 6 months. The stuff is awesome.
