Be thankful you have power locks on 3 of your doors. I have no PDL and the driver side is the only side I get into the truck with. The Passenger rear is also out of comission due to some bad hinges. Once it is open it takes anywhere from 5-10 min and 2 ppl to get closed... the price I am now paying for saving a few bucks when I bought it aren't looking as appealing. Gotta love being a thrifty shopper

I need to get one of these for my '96. The keyed locks have not really worked well in at least 10 - 12 years.
When I was dating my now wife 10 years ago, she was impressed that I would always unlock her door first. She didn't know that the passenger door key/lock worked better than the driver's door key/lock.
She wasn't so happy when she found out...

i did this to my '93 XLT (so it had the power door locks of course.)
100' range if aimed just right.50' range all easy.
if you want the basic install, just unscrew the drivers side power window/lock unit.the little box can be wired in right there, and fit comfortably down under.simply put your lock unit back in,and your done.
if you want the light or horn confirmation, that's where you need to run some wires.worth it though.
