I will put my 2 cents in. I have not heard Roush tuning SD 6.2L. But I am sure they can handle it though . And i am sure there are other great tuning shops too. But I will say this, Making a good calibration takes time as you have to live with the vehicle to find drive-ability improvements that Ford left behind. You have to use the vehicle in real world situations as its designed purpose and function to find power and drive-ability improvements. As an example of this some of Fords SD 6.2L strategies that went from earliest strategy SHV5 to SHV6 to SHV7 to latest SHV9 strategy all show improvements in drive-ability not power.
My biggest concern is towing he tows a 30' 5 wheel type, a dump trailer and a,goiseneck with antique john Deere pulling tractors.

If your concerns are Can the 6.2L handle it Yep no problem stock or tuned form. Any idea of what the weights of his trailers are when loaded ? Did he get the 4.30 gear set in his new truck?

Again my 2 cents
Mike
So they have SHV9 now - What does that change? Do you got any idea Mike? CHanging shift points or what?

Drive-ability stuff in trans is what it changes.. stuff we have addressed already... They have left shift points the same as SHV5 which we address in all our calibrations.

Gotcha - So you think they are reverse engineering 5 star stuff & making changes accordingly... LOL

Ha... good one
Funny you mentioned there is a 3rd gear torque converter schedule change in SHV9 that is almost identical to ours...
No one has touched my truck w/program in - so I ain't the leak...
Hey - if they actually come up with some real beneficial changes (not fixing some safety issue will they allow reflash to early buyers?
With the 6.7 they got alot of goodwill out of that reflash...

Yep go into Ford and ask for the latest flash update. Most of the time if vehicle is under warranty they will do it free. Just remember to return X3 to stock and then Read Strategy of the new catch code. Would have to email you new calibrations for new catch code. At this point i dont see going into Ford and asking for an update though..

Yea I wouldn't be interested unless it has some major improvements. Actually I am back on stock right now testing mileage of 87/stock against your 93. This timeof year I do a lot of highway miles so am testing that. BTW stock sucks after running 93 Tow/Perf.
