Sync Quirks

Sync Quirks
My Sync/Nav unit in my '10 has some quirks, namely:
- I get a bunch of 'P' POI's all show up at random even though I have all POI's tuned off
- There some confusion between the ambient light sensor and headlights. During sunrise, the display will blip between maximum brightness and the brightness I set it. Irritating
- It resets to maximum display brightness every time I restart the engine even though I set it to minimum brightness. It lights up the cabin at night and is blindingly bright, and I have manually turn the brightness back down all the time
- It sometimes sees "1 of 1" songs in my iPod even though it was working fine earlier.
- It sometimes get stuck 'initializing' while reading my iPod
- It sometimes powers up in 'Radio' mode even though I had it set to 'USB' input earlier
I have the latest v3.1 firmware. These appear to be software issues. Any of you guys see the same and/or get these fixed?

i can't answer to most of these because i don't have sync in mine... BUT the light sensor issue sounds the same as everyone elses @ dusk, dawn. The trip/odo display will flash back and forth between full bright and where you've got it set. What i do with mine is throw a glove or peice of paper or anything over the sensor to make it think it's still dark until it's bright enough outside to remove it and not be blinded by the light.
