My spare tire winch don’t have lock cylinder that evidently fell out at some point of time. But lock cylinder housing is still always in and jack rod can’t be used to torn winch. Should I drill trough bottom of housing to get rod engaged. I hesitate because that housing is connected to winch mechanism tm you turn that housing it torn winch. Is any one know what is below lock housing.

 

you obviously have the old one out, so seeing it is that nasty and rusted I would just get a new one.
