Talking California Proposition 23 affecting our trucks, PLEASE READ =)

Hello fellow Northern California Chapter members

I am writing this email to make all of my fellow ford truck enthusiats and fellow car guys aware of Proposition 23 and the future of our trucks !!!! And the cost that we'd face to keep them!!!

Proposition 23, has come to my attention because it is on the current November ballot and if it fails, will GREATLY!!!!! affect the cost of our fuel as well as our electricity.

Facts:

Prop 23 would halt the progress of california's current (AB32.) Which (unhalted) would enact a HUGE!!!! carbon tax on our fuel!!! As well as increasing our electricity rates by 60%.

Natural gas would go up 57% and there would be an ANNUAL increase in the cost of gasoline and diesel in california would be $3.7 Billion.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am voting YES on Proposition 23 which would stop ab 32 going into affect until the statewide unemployment rate hits 5.5 % for 4 cosequtive quarters.

The goal of the original ab 32 (not prop 23, which would halt ab32) would be to decrease out states emissions to 1990 levels by 2020. But you would be the one footing the bill!!

That's it, I'm moving to Nevada! ...Lovelock

Actually, I am starting a after-market parts and accessories business (stay tuned) and doing business in California is out-of-the question anymore.
I'm a eco-minded guy though Prop 23 has me concerned as well in this current economic mess.

Politics...aaargh!

Thanks, PK

I'm trying to start up a performance biz, myself. I hear ya. I do believe one of the commercials that says CA is the 48th least biz friendly state. Seems like they only want big corporations here.

AB32, if it is not stopped, will cause everything that is transported or manufactured in California to become more expensive. The fuel and electricity costs will significantly increase so all production and transportation costs will rise accordingly. All businesses, such as stores, supply houses and manufacturing will have to pass the increased operating expenses. Everybody in California will pay more for all purchased items and businesses with fixed competitive pricing will have to reduce staff to accomidate the increased out-of-pocket costs.

Tell your friends and family to vote YES on 23 so California can remain competitive.
