Northern Auto Parts: - R.E.L - Topside Creeper

I have one and love it. Saves me from hurting for 2-3 days after doing injectors on a duramax :-)

I did my EGR cooler delete and oil cooler replacement with a short stepladder (2 steps) and a blanket. I like the idea of a topside creeper, but I'd want to know why Cheezit hates his before spending even that much on one. I have read elsewhere that having to lay on top and reach down can be quite uncomfortable.

Well I have the room and no cattle guard. If I lived in Montana(deer) or Texas I probably would tho.

I bought this one. It does look to be built a bit weaker than the other brand but it holds my weight just fine. I weight 210 lbs. I also had to add additional padding because it hardly had any.

sit down creeper

Slightly off subject, but I'll probably never see a thread this close to what I want to talk about. I turned a 5 gallon plastic bucket upside down, and sheet metal screwed it to a heavy potted plant dolly ( also plastic, 5 casters, heavy duty and 16" inches diameter) . With an old patio chair cushion on the top, it makes a great scoot around, sit down creeper for working on the exterior of what ever vehicle. working on wheels, brakes, waxing etc. Seat height is 20" from the floor. I know they make something like this, but mine was almost free. When the knees go bad, it hurts to get down and back up off the deck a bunch of times. No picture, I dont have the right to send pics yet dd. re the topside creeper, sounds nice, but I'll make do with the kitchen stepstool. It and a blanket works for me. dd

I purchased a topside creaper after doing up-pipes on my father's OBS because my back hurt for a week. I did up-pipes on another OBS last weekend and I feel great. I feel I got my money's worth after 1 use!

best way I have found to replace those pipes is to just pull the trans.
