Bed Plate. Fix it or leave it

I had the oil leak checked on my 08 F450 at my dealership and it was confirmed that the bedplate had a slight leak. The truck has 22k kms and is covered by a 7yr 150k warranty. The stress for me of having the cab lifted and engine pulled is over whelming. I have had a major repair to one of my vehicles in the past and it was a very unpleasant experience. I am sure many of you will say that if warranty covers it then just do it. Have any of you had this problem and just lived with the small leak rather than do the repair?

giving you a bump....I would probably fix it. Good news is you can schedule the repair rather then take it in tomorrow.

A leak like this will most likely only get worse.

Agreed. Like senix suggested, take it to the dealer for repair. It'll probably get worse. If the warranty had expired, it would be a different story.......Then I'd just learn to live with it.

And I would add only get worse at a bad time, you have control of time for repair!

My vote is with the others. I would get it repaired while under warranty and planned. Just my 2 cents.

I would get it done. You have a lot of warranty left if they screw anything up.
