Chevron MD3 transmission fluid in 1999 4R100

The spec on Chevron MD3 ATF says it's compatible with Dexron III and Mercon ATF's. Does anybody have any knowledge whether this can be used in the 4R100 on a '99 F-350 Superduty 4WD?
