Well I am just turning 16, me and mom went to the dealer the other day and baught a 96 F150, 2wd with a 302 in it, When i talked to the salesman he said it had the High output in it, Did they make a normal 302 and a High Output or did he just try to make a sale? I wouldnt care anyways i baught the truck cause of the price and it was what I wanted, a standard shift ford. Thats al i wanted was a ford standard shift. I just thought i would ask to see before i go around telling everyone it has a high output in it, I will have everyone wanting to run me if i tell them that. Plus do you think i got ripped, Its got 180,000 on it, the body and interior is in good shape other than a couple stains and i only gave 2850 for tax and title and everything, is that an alright deal?
Sounds like a good deal to me but of course I'm in Canada and our prices are a little bit different
In 1996 there was only one 302 made as far as I know....no HO's.
The best way to tell if it is the H.O engine is to checd the firing order. The firing orde is different on the H.O. The H.O. has the same firing order as the 351W.
