For Sale here is my 1989 F-350 Crew Cab XLT Lariat Single Rear Wheel E40D Automatic 4X4 7.3L Diesel Pickup with a Banks Turbo. I have owned this truck for a little over 2 years now and really will hate to see it go! This is currently my daily driver and it is 100% reliable and turns heads no matter where you go! If you don't like attention and having people point, smile, giggle, make big rig air horn gestures, talk to you at the gas station, etc. , then this may not be the truck for you! About the truck: The engine was rebuilt by a previous owner and has approximately 60K on it now. Truck currently has 19,300 miles. By the trail of receipts the engine was done at 164,000 due to a broken valve face (Not Cavitation), so I would say chasis is 219,300. Axles, wheel bearings, etc, have had fluid changes and front wheel bearings serviced so all is well in the rolling dept. It has the First Generation Banks Turbo kit on it. There is a folder of all receipts for the rebuild and other work that comes with the truck. The trans was also worked on at some point about that time. Injector pump, injectors, etc. were also serviced at that time. The front windows are power, rears are crank in an 89. Power Door locks. There is a power rear slider window and it works. It has a Heavy Duty Receiver on it with trailer plug. There was at one time a brake controller mounted and I think the harness is still there. There are also additional guages mounted on the dash - Pyrometer, trans temp, Boost. It has a basic CD player and remote entry.
Since I bought it I have done the following: Custom 4" Shackle reverse Lift Duetch Tech Shocks Suspension Bushings Alcoa Classic wheels (real Alcoa's) BFG All Terrain KO's 285/75/16 Removed front fuel tank (for Stack Pipes) and installed a 32 Gallon Bronco Plastic Rear Tank Replaced all fuel lines from tank to lift pump New Fuel Sender Rebuilt A/C System and added a 2000 E-Series Condenser (air works Awsome and is R-134) Rebuilt Steering knuckles and added the Camber adjusting king pins Front axle shaft U-joints SUPER WINCH Hubs Installed the 5" STACKS with Rain Caps - all plumbing underneath the bed. You can still haul a sheet of plywood! Converted to a single group 31 battery (odyssey 2150 amp) Brakes, calipers, pads, shoes Coolant flush (Fleetguard ES Complete Coolant - has SCA's) Hoses Belts Alternator / Voltage Regulator Steering Box Vacuum Pump Modified the Turbo intake box and made a custom intake system with K&N Fiter - I had built my firtst attempt at an oil seperator between the crankcase vent and the intake planning on later adding an intercooler. These engines are known for oil in the intake. My setup prevents around 4 ounces of oil from making it to the intake between oil changes. TANSGO "Tugger" Valve Body Kit
I have some spare parts that go with it as well, window rubber, spare water pump and some other stuff plus a set of factory repair manuals.
If you are looking for a truck that has had all the hard work done, this is it. There has been a ton of time and money already invested in this awesome truck. As far as things that are wrong with it. It is an 89 and a diesel. It has a few minor oil seeps. Door panels could use a clip or two here and there. Previous owner decided to store a battery in the back seat so it is pretty trashed. Other than that the interior is pretty clean and most people can't believe the condition for the year. I do not have a spare tire for it. The body is very solid with no rust. I am a professional autobody painter so I know what I am looking for in that department. Truck has some small dents / dings but nothing major. It had also been repainted in the past and the clearcoat is starting to let go on the top surfaces. It is not rusting anywhere though and if the cometics don't bother you, there is no need to worry about the truck rusting out. Tailgate is pretty wooped and is the only part of the body that may need replacing to bring it up to par with the rest of the truck at paint time. The Windshield has a rock chip that has turned into a crack and I will have a new windshield put in it if the purchase price is within 1k of asking price. The tires are approx. quarter tread left.
I looked at a lot of trucks when I bought this one (even 95-97's) and this truck was by far one of the more solid trucks on the market.
If you have any questions or want to hear it run or anything else, don't hesitate to call: Mike (925)759-0276 I do not have computer access during the day mon-fri so please be patient with any ?'s or call
