World’s Longest Monster Truck Costs a Cool $1 Million, and It’s a Ford!
Monster trucks – everybody loves ’em, from little kids with toys to grown up ones with mortgages. In this world of cartoon-like large proportions, the more outrageous your truck is, the better! But wait for it, someone’s built what is, hands down, the most outrageous monster truck out there.
Dubbed the, “Sin City Hustler,” this former Ford Excursion limousine has been transformed into a 32 foot long, 12 foot tall, 12 passenger, 15,000 pound showcase of ridiculousness. Fittingly, the cost to built it is every bit (if not more) ridiculous than the truck itself. A cool one million dollars.
Perhaps the best news about the whole thing is that the builders didn’t just shove a Chevy motor between the frame rails – they kept it 100% blue oval. The beasty 521 ci Jon Kaase big-block pumps out an outrageous 750 horsepower, which is probably the bare minimum needed to propel the longest truck in the world over bumps.
The best part is that you can actually take a spin in this poster child of excess. In Las Vegas, of course, the only place brash enough to house such a thing. Rides last about 5 minutes and take you through some canyons and over some hills.
The fact that the world’s longest, most expensive, and arguably coolest monster truck is a Ford-powered Ford, just gives us another feather in the cap. Next time you’re out in the desert, take a spin in the Sin City Hustler. Your inner child will thank you!
