Wheelin’ the 2016 F-150 Limited at the Ranch
Last week the Texas Auto Writers Association hosted their annual Truck Rodeo competition, where journalists ultimately end up voting for the Truck of Texas trophy. Since Ford is big in Texas, they brought out their line of pickup trucks for all of us to drive. The trucks they brought included the new 2016 Limited trim.
If you’ve read our coverage of the Limited before, you’ll know that the Limited is basically a fully-loaded Platinum with all the option boxes checked. Starting at around $62,000, the Limited is the premium luxury pickup truck from the Blue Oval.
There are a few cosmetic changes to identify the Limited trim, including LIMITED being written across the front of the hood. Also, being a 2016 model, the Limited has Ford’s SYNC 3 system instead of MyFord Touch. It also had Ford’s Pro Trailer Backup Assist installed as part of the towing package.
As you’d expect, it drives exactly like the Platinum that I had in for review not too long ago. All of the great things about that truck clearly carry over to the higher-trim truck.
Obviously, the interior is quite luxurious and a nice place to be. Massaging seats make sure you’re relaxed when you get to your destination, and everything you touch seems to be swathed in high-quality leather. It’s a nice place to be.
What do you think of the 2016 F-150 Limited? Would you rock one? Let us know over in the forums!
