Roush Rolls Out Bigger, Lighter, Stronger 22-Inch Truck Wheel

LIVONIA, Mich. (June 27, 2007) – ROUSH Performance has a growing presence in the wheel market, and the new 22-inch truck wheel is sure to be popular among the Ford F-150, Expedition, Lincoln Navigator and Mark LT crowd.

The ROUSH 22-inch chrome wheel is liquid forged which offers higher strength and is considerably lighter than a typical cast wheel. In fact, this wheel and tire combination weighs approximately nine pounds less than a comparable cast 20-inch model with tire.

A relatively new technological advancement in chrome wheel manufacturing, liquid forged processing uses the same high pressure (around 3000 tons) as standard forging except that the aluminum is in a liquid form instead of a solid block. The advantage is that liquid forging uses a mold which gives the strength of a forged wheel but the unlimited design capabilities of cast models.

Because the process produces much stronger metal properties, less material is required to meet the SAE durability validation requirements. Less material means a lighter overall wheel with the same, or better, strength characteristics.

The six spoke design will add flair to your ride, and is available in three configurations:

* Part Number 401714 – The 22-inch chrome wheel only. Fits 2004-2008 model vehicles (suggested retail $700.00)

* Part Number 402411 – The 22-inch chrome wheel with a Pirelli Scorpion 275/45/R22 high-performance tire. Fits 2004-2006 model vehicles (suggested retail $1050.42)

* Part Number 402410 – The 22-inch chrome wheel with a Pirelli Scorpion 275/45/R22 high-performance tire and TPMS sensor. Fits 2007-2008 model vehicles (suggested retail $1107.56)

All ROUSH wheels are designed to meet or exceed dynamic cornering radial fatigue testing (SAE J328), wheel impact testing (SAE J175) and corrosion resistance.
