RAPTOR REPORT Check Out the Shelby Baja 700 In Action!
The most badass Raptor you can currently buy is the Shelby Baja 700. Making an insane 700 horsepower from a supercharged 6.2L V8 is just plain awesome. Now, check out this video of the dream truck in action.
Even though I don’t care for the background music, it’s definitely worth turning your speakers up for this. Hearing the big, throaty V8 reminds us of what we’re going to be missing in the 2017 Raptor, and you can’t go wrong with supercharger whine.
We’re sure than tuners like Hennessey Performance Engineering and Shelby American will be able to do great things with the 3.5L EcoBoost in the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor. Heck, it’s basically the same engine in the forthcoming Ford GT and that makes in excess of 600 horsepower.
But one thing we really don’t know for sure is how the truck will sound. I have no doubt that it’ll sound unique and awesome, but it won’t necessarily be V8 awesome. Is that something that we’ll be able to live with?
