Radical’s RXC 500 Uses Ford EcoBoost Tech to Beat Hypercars
The Ford EcoBoost is one of the most interesting engine options available right now. The 3.5-liter version is of great interest due to it being slotted in not only the upcoming Ford Raptor, but also because the base components will also find their way into the upcoming Ford GT supercar. However, there’s already a supercar running this engine, and pound for pound, it could be the best piece of performance engineering on the planet.
The Radical RXC Turbo 500, uses the same 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine as in your truck, but it’s been lightened, tuned, and developed to produce over 500 horsepower. All of which is combined in a shell that looks like a Le Mans style prototype, and a chassis that weighs almost nothing.
In EVO’s latest video, they seek to answer one question. Can the Radical RXC Turbo 500 beat the McLaren P1 hypercar around a track? Can this supercar with a Ford engine beat a purpose built, million dollar plus hyper car at its own game? Find out below.
