Santos, a state-of-the-art virtual soldier, is Ford’s newest recruit
Meet Santos. He’s the newest worker at Ford, a cutting-edge computerized avatar so advanced he can provide feedback to ergonomic engineers – walking, talking and even answering questions about the physical strains of lifting and stretching in a plant. Originally created for military use by the University of Iowa, Santos will help Ford improve safety and quality on virtual assembly lines so the knowledge can be transferred to real life. more…

Fiesta fuel economy shows life begins at 40
