Fiesta on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ tonight

The cast of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" will show off just how much of a fiesta Ford’s newest small car can create, with show security guard Guillermo tapped to have some major fun with Fiesta after getting a very important message in his dream. Unique DUB Edition Mustang takes to the streets
MAY 05 FORD E-NEWSDoing something fresh with the most customized car in the world can be a challenge – but it’s a challenge that DUB magazine and Roush Industries are all about. The 2011 DUB Edition Mustang is a ride that brings, in the words of DUB co-founder Myles Kovacs, "a ton of hustle to the muscle." Based on the new 3.7-liter V-6 Mustang, the first production car ever to deliver 31 mpg highway and 305 horsepower, the DUB Mustang sports 20-inch TIS wheels and Pirelli tires, lowering springs, Roush body kit and DUB logos in the head restraints. more…

Ford Transit Connect provides fuel, carbon footprint savings for ADT
MAY 05 FORD E-NEWSThe world’s largest electronic security provider will replace nearly half of its North American fleet with the Ford Transit Connect, 2010 North American Truck of the Year. Plans call for a total of 3,000 vehicles, with the move expected to save ADT around $5.3 million in annual fuel costs and support its green initiatives. In addition to being more fuel efficient than larger commercial vans, Transit Connect also is more comfortable and convenient – important benefits since most of ADT’s technicians spend an average of 2,000 miles a month on the road. more…

First Transit Connect Taxi lands in Boston
MAY 05 FORD E-NEWSBoston is the nation’s first municipality to approve the versatile new Transit Connect Taxi for cab use, paving the way for taxi owners to purchase the vehicle for their fleets. With its roomy, flexible interior, Transit Connect is perfectly suited for the job. And its standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine and automatic transmission delivers an estimated 30 percent improvement in fuel economy versus many traditional taxis. Transit Connect Taxi will also be available with a new engine prep package that allows conversion to both CNG and LPG. more…

Ford makes good on its pledge to double flex-fuel vehicles
MAY 05 FORD E-NEWSIn 2006 Ford said it would double the number of 2010 model year flex-fuel vehicles and now it’s delivering. Flex-fuel vehicles, which can run on E85, gasoline, or any mix of the two, are an excellent alternative for customers and can help reduce dependence on imported oil. Assuming incentives continue to encourage manufacturing, distribution and availability of renewable fuels, Ford is committed to expanding flex-fuel output to 50 percent of total 2012 model year production. more…

Fiesta Movement agents make music for mission two
MAY 05 FORD E-NEWSFiesta Movement agents rocked out mission one and now they’re ready to take on their second, with teams joining up with local bands and radio stations to promote upcoming talent. Special events at local hot spots will complete the mission. Fiesta Movement’s first mission, "Fiesta Marks the Spot," created tons of buzz on social media channels about the murals the teams created, with the Houston and Dallas teams winning the mission. more…

Two Ford vehicles make Edmunds’ Best Family Cars
MAY 05 FORD E-NEWSParents magazine and Edmunds.com have joined forces to present the 15 Best Family Cars for 2010, and after judging hundreds of vehicles for performance, reliability, safety and family-friendly features, two Ford vehicles have made the grade. Battery-electric Transit Connect headed to Europe
MAY 05 FORD E-NEWSFord and Azure Dynamics are teaming up to deliver a battery-electric Transit Connect to customers in Europe, beginning in summer 2011. Azure will integrate its Force Drive™ battery-electric drivetrain into Transit Connect to support sale of zero-emission battery-electric models in select markets. Transit Connect, designed to meet the unique needs of small business operators, was first launched in Europe in 2002 and was introduced to North America in 2009. more…

Ford backs Silicon Valley innovation in Michigan
MAY 05 FORD E-NEWSAs part of Ford’s American Journey 2.0 initiative, students at the University of Michigan have defined a vision for the future. In a course titled "Cloud Computing in the Commute," students prototyped social networking and transportation apps to help drivers get where they want to go efficiently while having fun along the way. Caravan Track, the winning app, will get embedded in a Ford Fiesta to be driven by the student team on a socially networked road trip to Maker Faire, the world’s largest do-it-yourself ideas festival in San Mateo, Calif., May 22. more…
