Happy 50th Birthday, Bronco! Here’s the Details on the New One!

Today marks a big day in the life of a Ford Bronco fan. Today celebrates the official 50th birthday of the pioneering off-road vehicle that so many people fell in love with. To celebrate this joyous of days, we have all-new details about the new Ford Bronco, probably debuting in 2018.
Based on our anonymous source “close to the matter,” the new Bronco will be based off the new Super Duty platform, come with 38″ tires, have a fifty-two speed manual transmission, have double stacks that belch out coal, and will have a Hellcat motor strapped to a Ford Performance V8 straight from the GT350 R. It’s on the Internet, so it must be true?!
Wait, that doesn’t sound right at all. Let’s try that again.
Here’s a roundup of what we THINK the new, 2018 Bronco will have if it sees production.
First, it’ll probably be built on the upcoming Ranger platform, assuming the Ranger sees production. It’ll be powered by an EcoBoost 4-cylinder, or maybe the 2.7L V6 EcoBoost. There’s always a chance a diesel will be an option. But we can safely say that a V16 combining a 5.2L V8 and Dodge’s Hellcat 6.2L V8 isn’t happening. Like ever.
Will it have a manual transmission? Well, it’s more likely to happen than seeing the F-150 get a manual transmission. If the Ranger does, then it’s likely the Bronco will, since they’ll be sharing the technology. If it does get a manual transmission, it’ll probably have 6 gears, and not the 52 suggested earlier.
