A Deeper Look at Glitzy ‘Gold Standard F-150’ (Video)
Gold Standard F-150 Is Truly the Standard in Customized Ford Trucks. Though We Wonder If Its Price Is Just as Exorbitant…
With all the incredible custom Ford trucks on display at SEMA, it’s easy to get lost in the awesomeness. The time and effort put into building a SEMA-caliber truck is mind-boggling, as is the amount of funds required. Hence, it’s worth taking a closer look at one of the best F-150 trucks ever created for the world-famous show.
Built by A.R.E. Accessories, the Gold Standard F-150 is a rolling showcase for around a dozen part manufacturers or so. Most relevant is the Axalta gold and black paint laid by Lynch Customs. The F-150 would look quite good with such paint alone, but the rest of the goodies make it even better.
All that beauty sits high off the ground thanks to a Skyjacker lift, and 24″ Fuel wheels with M/T tires. Significant clearance for the rolling stock is provided by Bushwacker fender flares, and Penda wheel well liners. Furthermore, the side steps and bumpers are N-FAB bits, and the hood is from Reflexxion.
This wouldn’t be a SEMA truck without the requisite LED lighting AND TVs, though this time they were mounted in the bed. In addition, there’s nothing so outlandish here that impedes the truck from being driven. And that’s the typical m.o. for a lot of SEMA trucks. That makes this F-150 worth its weight in gold!
